Rooted in Resilience, Blooming with Grace at Baby Bear Farm💜🌿

As August arrives, our field is filled with the sweet, calming scent of freshly harvested lavender—a quiet reflection on how far we’ve come this season.

This spring and summer brought abundant rain to our mountain region of Virginia. While nature’s generosity is always welcome, the heavy rainfall made planting and harvesting a true challenge. Yet, despite the rain, wind, and soaked boots, our lavenders returned—stronger, more fragrant, and more vibrant than ever. Their resilience is our reward.

When I moved to Virginia from the comforts of California and Hawaii, I gave myself a quiet challenge: to become comfortable with being uncomfortable. Over the years, I’ve watched our lavender go through every test—frost, heat, rain, and wind—and still rise, season after season. In tending to them, I’ve grown too. I’ve learned to bend with the storms and bloom when the time is right.

You’ll feel that same strength and serenity in every lavender product we make. From our field to your home, our lavender carries the peace of the mountains and the quiet joy of nature in balance.

This summer brought a truly full-circle moment. I’m honored to share that our lavender products are now available at the Salt Pond Living Gift Store at Mountain Lake Lodge—the iconic filming location of Dirty Dancing. As a girl, I watched that movie more than 25 times with my mom. Seeing our products nestled in a place tied to such cherished memories was deeply moving after her passing.

A heartfelt thank you to Mountain Lake Lodge for the opportunity to share our lavender products with their guests and elevate their stay in this timeless place. If you’re traveling through the Blue Ridge Mountains, we’d love for you to stop in and explore our collection at the Salt Pond Living Gift Store at Mountain Lake Lodge. It’s more than a gift—it’s our journey.
