Ingredients
- Unbleached flour
- Madagascar Vanilla Beans (Grade A)
- Raw cane sugar
- Ground organic culinary lavender
- Orange zest
- Lemon zest
- Salt
You Need
- 1 stick (½ cup) room-temperature softened butter (salted or unsalted)
- 1 large egg (or 2 small/medium eggs)
Instructions
- Heat oven to 375 degrees. Use parchment paper or grease a cookie sheet with butter or non-stick cooking spray.
- In a small mixing bowl: whisk softened butter and egg together.
- In a medium bowl: add cookie mix to the butter & egg mixture and mix with a spoon or spatula until all the ingredients are combined and dough forms.
- Drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls onto parchment paper or a greased cookie sheet, spacing them 2 inches apart. There should be about 12 cookies.
- Bake cookies for 8-9 minutes for soft cookies. Bake for 10-11 minutes for crispier texture cookies.
- Allow cookies to cool for 2Â minutes after removing them from the oven, and then enjoy.
For an extra flavor boost, add 1/8 teaspoon of fresh orange zest and 1/8 teaspoon of Lemon extract. For a richer flavor, use Kerrygold butter.
