🌿 Spring is Here—See What’s Blooming at Baby Bear Farm 🌸!

Springtime is finally here at Baby Bear Farm, and after a cold, long, and snowy winter, we’re delighted to see new life sprouting all around us! Currently, we’re seeing beautiful pink blooms from our cherry trees. We’re busy trimming and pruning about 2,000 lavender plants, giving each one its adorable spring cut.

Did you know lavender thrives when regularly trimmed? That’s why we make it a priority to prune ours twice a year—once at the beginning of spring and again at the end of summer. If you’re feeling uncertain about trimming your lavender plants, don’t worry! We’ve created simple and easy-to-follow videos available as reels on our Baby Bear Farm Facebook and Instagram pages. Be sure to watch for helpful tips and guidance!

We’re also excited to announce some wonderful upcoming in-person events this season:

  • Floyd Farmers Market: We’ll return to this vibrant community market on Saturday, May 3rd, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Stop by to pick up your favorite lavender products, including Bee Bliss Pain Relief Gel, Bee Brilliance Face Serum, and Lavender Body Butter.
  • Black Dog Salvage – Dog Bowl Market: Join us on Sunday, May 18th, from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm in Roanoke. It promises to be a delightful day filled with handcrafted lavender goodness.
  • Savor Weekend at Mountain Lake Lodge: We’re thrilled to participate in the Taste of the Blue Ridge Mountains event, Friday, June 13th, and Saturday, June 14th (Father’s Day weekend). Collaborating with talented chefs and mixologists. Would you like to know what they can do with our culinary lavender? Come and see them yourself. We’ll celebrate Appalachian culture, traditions, heritage, and the incredible local cuisine and beverages.

We warmly invite you to join us at these joyful gatherings. Spring at Baby Bear Farm is a beautiful reminder of nature’s renewal—and we can’t wait to share it with you!
